Bettabite, a new graphical-based hiring platform, officially launched today with the aim of modernizing the hiring process. The platform seeks to establish a new format for career representation, moving beyond traditional PDFs to a more visual approach designed to benefit both job seekers and employers.

The platform allows job seekers to present their skills and behavioral traits in a graphical format. Bettabite offers an interactive resume builder that uses skill and personality charts. This enables individuals to track their professional development and add information to their profiles over time.

Olivia Crawford, Bettabite’s creator, brings experience as a senior-level UX designer from companies like Rexel and Blue Yonder. She identified an opportunity in the job search market, noting that skilled individuals are sometimes overlooked and hiring decisions can be based on incomplete information. Crawford integrated her experience with fintech and investing platforms with insights gathered from over 500 job seekers and numerous discussions with recruiters and employers.

Crawford states, “Hiring is a critical decision for companies. We still rely on outdated resumes and general job descriptions. Hiring is an investment in people, so I developed a platform to highlight people’s skills and traits, helping employers make data-informed decisions.”

  • Transparent Application Process: Job seekers can view their application status in real-time, which can help manage their time and reduce uncertainty.
  • Feedback Feature: Applicants can receive rejection reasons, such as “skill mismatch” or “availability issues,” with the option for employers to provide additional context. This is intended to offer a learning opportunity.
  • Insights Dashboards: These dashboards help identify hiring patterns, address skill gaps, and support internal career progression within companies.
  • Skill Ranking Scale: A 1 to 100 percentage scale allows individuals to rank their skills, generating charts for clearer visualization for employers and recruiters.
  • Personality Assessment: Job seekers can self-rank their responses to twenty personality questions, which can help employers assess cultural and team fit.

Bettabite offers two monthly subscription plans for employers:

  • Starter Plan: $99/month for two job posts (includes a 7-day trial).
  • Pro Plan: $399/month for unlimited job posts.
